What do Libro.fm and Kobo Plus cost in November 2026?
A routine recheck found two wrong figures on this site. Here are the live prices, what changed on our pages, and what did not change: any score.
3 nov 2026: On 3 November 2026, Libro.fm's US plans were $14.99 a month for one credit, $23.99 a month for two, and $169.99 a year for twelve, and Kobo Plus cost $7.99 a month for Read or Listen and $9.99 for Read & Listen, with a 14-day free trial. Our Libro.fm review had said $16.99 and our price tracker had Kobo Plus Read & Listen at $12.99. Both are corrected; no score moved.
What did we get wrong?
Two figures. Our Libro.fm review and its cost table used $16.99 a month for one credit, while our price tracker and Audiobook Price Index used $14.99. Libro.fm's own membership page shows $14.99, so the review was wrong. Our price tracker also listed Kobo Plus Read & Listen at $12.99 a month; Kobo's plans page shows $9.99. The Kobo app review's cost table also mixed up the tiers.
Both errors came from desk checks done at different times on different pages. We now keep one price per plan in our data and print it everywhere from there, with a test that fails the build if the old figures come back.
What does Libro.fm cost now?
One credit a month for $14.99, two for $23.99, or twelve a year for $169.99, which works out at about $14.17 a credit. Credits never expire, members get 30% off extra titles, and every audiobook downloads DRM-free. At one book a month it costs about the same as Audible Premium at $14.95; the difference is that you keep the files.
The two-credit plan is the interesting one: $12.00 a book for listeners who finish two a month, cheaper per book than either one-credit plan.
What does Kobo Plus cost now?
Kobo Plus Read and Kobo Plus Listen are $7.99 a month each, and Read & Listen is $9.99, after a 14-day free trial. Against Kindle+ at $11.99 and Everand at $11.99, Kobo Plus Read & Listen is now the cheapest ebook-plus-audiobook buffet we track, which matters for readers who finish several books a month and do not mind reading on Kobo.
Did any score change?
No. Price honesty is one criterion of eight, and it scores whether the price is clear and fair, not the number itself. Libro.fm stays at 80 and the Kobo app at 78. The reviews' changelogs record the corrections.
